 Windows Error Reporting (WER) is a set of technologies that gather any software crash data and send it to Microsoft for analyzing the error and responding to the problem. If you are using Windows XP, every time any application crashes you get an error reporting message. Sometimes it can be very irritating. And if your system is poorly maintained and applications keep crashing down – this error reporting dialogue box can really get on your nerves.
